Purpose
|
To design a
literacy project that promotes reading in the community.

affiliated with the Montana State Reading Council and the International
Reading Association.
A project will not be funded for more than 2 consecutive years.

$1000 Scholarship
|

Purpose
|
To assist an
literacy educator in pursuit of a graduate study in reading.
|
|
Qualifications
|
An applicant must
meet the following criteria:
1. Be a current member of the Montana State Reading Council and must
have three consecutive years as a MSRC member.
2. Be a member of a local reading council. In the event the applicant
is located in a geographical area that does not allow access to a local
reading council, evidence of demonstrated excellence in the area of
reading instruction, special reading programming, and/or informal
reading research may be substituted.
3. Have three years successful classroom teaching experience.
An applicant should
be planning or involved in a program of study for a Master's degree or
a Doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
